ABOUT MY JOURNEY

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor that has been privileged to journey with people in the D/FW area since 2016. I started my career in healthcare after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Florida in 1999. After working as a cardiothoracic intensive care nurse with the Veteran’s Administration, I decided to transition from caring for people’s physical well-being to nurturing their mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. I earned my Master's in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, where, in addition to earning high honors, I was humbled to receive the award for Excellence in Biblical Counseling. I am a trauma-informed and trauma-trained counselor. I have had the privilege of being mentored by esteemed trauma professor and experienced trauma/dissociation therapist, Dr. Linda Marten.

I am a certified EMDR therapist (EMDRIA) and trained in Post-Induction Therapy (PIT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In addition to seeing clients in the office setting, I am also a therapist with The Meadows Intensive Outpatient Program, located in North Dallas. My personal philosophy includes providing an environment of acceptance and empathy, seeing myself as an equal partner with my clients to guide the process of growth and change. I find tremendous value in life stories and consider it a true gift to be a part of another person's journey.

I live in the Dallas area with my husband (1999) and 2 children. I enjoy classical music, time with my family, and coffee with friends. I also love finding things that others might find old giving them new life.
